ABOUT SFEG

Recognizing the opportunity for the new cannabis economy to create prosperity for people like us, we formed the San Francisco Equity Group (SFEG) to maximize the opportunity for a diverse group of Equity Applicants across the city.

Our membership reflects the cultural diversity of our city - representing the African American, Filipino, Latin-X and Samoan communities, and our team brings over 150 years of community service experience to drive meaningful change in San Francisco's underserved neighborhoods.

Our strategy focuses on developing a portfolio of assets under a shared profits model to mitigate the risks of cannabis equity ownership to any one Equity Partner - while increasing the probability of a positive benefit to each of the communities we serve.

In the spirit of San Francisco’s history as a global leader in civil rights activism, SFEG's goal is to design a social equity blueprint for communities across the country to secure ownership in an industry poised to create tremendous wealth over the next 30 years.

OUR COMMITMENT

SFEG is dedicated to the well-being of our communities and is committed to leveraging cannabis profits to support a variety of programming, including;

  • Peace Rallies, Gun Buybacks, Public Safety Education, Violence Prevention & Crisis Response

  • Annual Turkey Giveaways and Toy Drives for families in underserved communities and families with incarcerated parents

  • Educational Workshops and Workforce Development Training (Co-Founder of Equity Pathways in partnership with Success Centers)

OUR VALUES

A Level Playing Field
The War on Drugs has targeted and devastated communities of color. SFEG supports Equity Programs to right those wrongs through economic empowerment in the cannabis economy.

Social Enterprise
Lasting change comes from ownership. Social enterprises reinvest their profits into their communities, empowering people to improve their own lives on their terms.

Unity
We recognize that we must face challenges together and work in unity to create meaningful change.

We are a revolutionary cannabis organization dedicated to changing lives by creating equitable economic opportunities for communities affected by the “War on Drugs.”
